TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has released New guidelines for the Bulk SMS Service by introducing DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) which is a block-chain based registration system that will maintain the records of all entities who are involve to send bulk sms and also monitor the content of sms. The primary objective of DLT regulations is to maintain transparency and monitoring of the SMS system to protect the consumers from fraudulent activities.
TRAI has made it mandatory to register their business entities, sender ID and SMS template on the DLT platform. For all those businesses, telemarketers and individuals who want to send bulk SMS (promotional or transactional, OTP and Voice SMS) to their clients. DLT platforms are operated by telecom operators such as Airtel, Videocon, Vodafone, Jio, BSNL and MTNL.
TRAI has been receiving many complaints for a long time about unsolicited, spamming, phishing SMS coming to mobiles. As a result people were getting a lot of fraud.
So DLT Platform is introduced by TRAI.
The list of documents required for DLT Registration is given here according to the type of business. There are 4 types of Business category. These are : 1. Individual or Personal 2. Proprietorship Business 3. Partnership Firm 4. Private Limited / Public Limited . Read the folowing table for details.
DLT Charge is subject to the matter of Operators. But, as per the TRAI guideline, operator can not take DLT Charges more than Rs. 5000+18% GST.
You can register DLT with any of the operators listed below.
Enterprises can register directly on the DLT platform by following the below-given steps. Here we explain the process of DLT Registration via Videocon DLT. If you follow the steps explained with screenshot it could be easier to you.
Visit the link: https://pingconnect.in/entity/register-with Select As Entity button to signup in Videocon DLT and then click on the Next tab.
For user of New DLT Registration, click on the Click Here link.
Indian is selected by default as shown in the respected image. Click on the Next tab to continue with the registration process.
A Customer Acquisition Form page will appear on your screen. Select the New Registration button if you are registering for the 1st time on the DLT platform.
A message will appear on your screen as shown in the image. Click on the OK tab.
Another page will get displayed where you need to provide organization and company details. Enter your Organization’s Name, Entity Type, Email ID and Category of the Organization.
If you are already registered with other operator on DLT Just enter your Entity ID then fill the other details one by one.
As you scroll down the list, you need to enter your Company Address, Country, State, City, PIN code and Mobile number.
As you scroll down Fill the Authorized person Information like Name, Designation, Authorization Document & Email ID with Mobile Number.
Further, you need to upload your company documents such as PAN Card, CIN/GST/TAN, Identity Proof, Address Proof and Other documents. As shown below, firstly you need to enter your document details and then upload the document file.
Proof of Identity: Following documents can be uploaded and accepted as Identity Proof GSTIN, Aadhar or Unique Identity Number, Election Commission ID, Passport.
Proof of Address: Documents accepted as Address Proof are: Aadhar, Unique Identity Number, Election Commission ID, Passport, Electricity Bill (Not older than 3 months), Telephone Bill (Not older than 3 months), Lease Agreement/Registered Sale Documents
Leave the payment details field blank as there is no registration fee for you.
Click on the checkbox I Agree With The Terms and Conditions and then Click on Submit.
Received an OTP to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to complete the mobile number verification Process.
Received an Email from no-reply@vimpl.com to your Email ID as displayed in the image.
For complete the Email verification process you need to Click on the button Click Here To Verify Your Email received in your email inbox.
After completeing DLT Registration Process you need to wait 2-3 days for the approval of your entity & you’ll receive separate email/sms containing your login details for Videocon DLT SMS platform.
After approval, you need to approve your Sender ID’s in headers section.
Once your Sender ID got approved from videocon you can send screenshot of approved Sender ID on info@infoskysolutions.com so that our team can add those sender id in your InfoSky Solutions account.
